Elchanan (Nani) Maoz l Founder, Chairman & CEO

 

Elchanan (Nani) Maoz, is the Chairman, Founder and CEO of Maoz Everest Fund Management Ltd. Maoz Everest is active in managing two private limited partnerships - Everest Fund specializing in Israeli related companies and Everest Special Situations Fund, advising in activities of investors in special situation deals and restructuring deals. Since inception Everest Fund achieved a cumulative return on investment of 187% and average return of 18.7% (net of all fees and expenses). Everest Special Situation ("ESS") achieved a cumulative return on investment of 179.9% and average return of 18. 7% (net of all fees and expenses). 

As an active fund manager of ESS, Mr. Maoz has executed over 30 investments in American, European and Israeli companies. In the majority of investments, Mr. Maoz played an active role in cases that included turnarounds, restructuring and bankruptcy/liquidation.

Mr. Maoz has been active in special situations, both in and out of bankruptcy, as a change agent, a director or an active shareholder/debt holder in order to unlock value for investors. The majority of the cases were very favorably resolved for the investors/funds he represented. Among these deals are: Actrade Financial, Gyrodyne, Concord Camera, ICTS, Simon Worldwide, Metro One, Limoneira, Livermore and more.

Mr. Maoz has substantial experience in all aspects of this field and has served as chair of equity committees, chair of liquidation trust committees and an active participant in major legal settlements and proceedings, monetizing assets (including IP) related to distressed equity and debt both locally and internationally. He currently serves on the board of Metro One Telecommunications, on the Israeli Board of the America Israel Friendship League, and is a director of private software and medical management service providers.
Prior to Maoz Everest activity, Mr. Maoz co-managed the general partner of the "Galil Fund" (an Israel-related investment fund), achieving approximately a 50% net return on investment during that period (1998-1999).

Between the years 1994 and 1998, Mr. Maoz was employed by Dovrat Shrem Company Investment Management Ltd. and acted as head of the International Department, managing the firm's offshore investment funds and other foreign institutional investments in Israel. As a manager of an Israeli and Israel-related investment fund, Mr. Maoz achieved return of investment of approximately 28% (September 1996 and March 1998, net of all fees and expenses). He also acted as Chairman of Dovrat Shrem Enterprises and as a board member of Dovrat Shrem and Company Provident Fund Management.

Mr. Maoz received his B.Sc. in engineering (with honors) from King's College of the University of London in 1993. Between 1984 and 1988, Mr. Maoz served as commanding officer and a team leader in the Israeli Special Forces.




 

Lia Goutnik l Assistant to CEO

Ms. Goutnik joined Everest in January 2020 as an assistant to the CEO as well as to provide Back Office support for the Teams in Everest. Prior to that she worked for 5 years in Administration and HR in a high tech company.
Ms. Goutnik's responsibilities included recruitment, back office, administration, as well as assisting the Finance department with various reports. Ms. Goutnik has prior experience in IT from her service in the IDF intelligence Unit (8200) following which she worked in tech support.

Hagai Yedid l CEO

 

Mr. Yedid brings over 25 years of economic, financial, and investment banking experience. Over the years, Mr. Yedid has acquired a significant expertise in M&A and capital raising for Israeli high-tech companies both domestically and internationally.

In his previous capacities as EVP at Migdal Investment Banking and as Managing Director at YLR Capital Markets/Orama (IDB Group's former Investment Banking arm) and afterwards as the Founder of Yedid Capital, Mr. Yedid led numerous capital raising and M&A transactions for Israeli high-tech companies and has developed a wide network of relationships with local and foreign investors alike.

Prior to becoming an Investment Banker, Mr. Yedid worked for Singer & Even, an Israeli financial consulting firm (currently known as Giza Singer Even), where he focused on the financial analysis and valuation of private and publicly traded companies and provided clients with financial consulting services. Before that, Mr. Yedid served as an economist at the Bank of Israel, Israel's central bank.

He earned his MBA in Finance and Banking from Hebrew University in Jerusalem (magna cum laude) and his BBA in Finance from Baruch College in New York (summa cum laude).




 

Yoni Nacht l Investment Banker

Mr. Nacht joined the Everest Group in 2014 where he acts as an investment banker since. His responsibilities include sourcing, analyzing and executing private placements, M&As and debt restructurings. Mr. Nacht is an expert in financial analysis and corporate modeling, and has played a significant role in a large number of transactions – both local and cross-border.

 

He holds a B.A in Economics from Tel Aviv University and a Global MBA with a specialization in Strategy and Business Development from the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center. A Major in the Israeli Navy reserve forces and a former platoon commander, Mr. Nacht has served as an officer for over seven years after graduating from the prestigious Naval Academy Officers course.
